This might look like political elections, map-making, and zine-writing, among many other examples. How do we come up with assignments and projects that enhance curriculum and draw students into a topic? How do we give students agency and guidance while tackling challenging ideas?\r\nYadierys Angeles teaches art at SLA and is an alumna of the school. While the basics of drawing, sculpture and art history are touched on in her Art classes, students are encouraged to explore creativity and the ways they may personally encounter it beyond high school. Whether or not students are looking to Art in the professional field, art and creativity is all around them! Students embrace this theme through personalized courses and free-choice projects.\r\nSerenity Baruzzini teaches the Career and Technical Education Engineering program and is also an alumna of SLA.
